Wearing a mask is the most famous and ancient skincare ritual which is followed by our ancestors and now followed by our generation. The only difference is the mask recipes and ingredients they used to use. With growing technology and fast-paced life, we have been using readymade masks available in the market and now sheet masks have made its entry with a rage. With all these time-saving products as we all call them are quite expensive but we are ready to spend and forget the real and more powerful ingredients lying in our own kitchen.
Wearing a mask that has real ingredients are the powerful masks that are safe for the skin and 100% chemical-free. There are different types of masks for different types of skin. Before trying these out make sure you do a patch test first.
½ tsp lemon juice
½ cup strawberries
Mix all these in a blender. Apply the paste on face and neck for 5-10 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water.
You need a moisturizing facial to rejuvenate your skin for summer. Mash few slices of avocado into a paste and apply on the face. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and rinse off. If you want light bleaching effect you can add half teaspoon of honey. Avocado is full of vitamins A, D and E, proteins and amino acids. Its oils moisturize and energies cells, softens tissue and heal chapped flaky skin.
Soak rose petals and crush them in a bowl. Then mix in a tablespoon of rosewater, curd, and honey. Apply on the face and rinse off after 10 minutes.
You need to soothe irritated skin. And nothing heals better than a mix of curds and oatmeal. Blend a cup of curd and half cup oatmeal in a mixer and apply on the face. Leave on for about 15 minutes and rinse off.
If your face has fine lines, find the cure in a sugar solution. Mix 2 tablespoon of sugar in 3 tablespoons of warm water. When sugar crystals dissolve, massage solution gently on the face. Leave o for about 5 minutes. Rinse well. Sugar is a natural exfoliant and helps soften aging lines.
NORMAL TO OILY SKIN:
2 egg whites
¼ cup fresh orange juice
Mix and apply to face and neck. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Apply a moisturizer. This spa-style treatment tightens pores and gives skin a lovely sheen.
REJUVENATING ANTI-WRINKLE MASK:
1 egg white
1 tbsp. yogurt
1 tsp. fuller’s earth
1 tsp. honey
Mix ingredients into a paste. Rub gently all over face and neck. Wash off with warm water.
