Everyone knows the benefits of lemon. Lemon is a popular and versatile citrus fruit. It is famous for its flavor and refreshing scent. Lemons are widely used in recipes, flavoring, and perfumes, in all kinds of refreshing drinks like lemon tea, cocktails, mocktails, etc. Lemons also have good medicinal value. Since it is very rich in vitamin C, it had immense health benefits ranging from anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties and immune-boosting abilities. Lemon juice is good for digestion and acts as a detoxifying agent which helps in cleaning the toxins out from the liver. One of the most common benefits to reap out of lemons is its juice. It can be used in many ways and the most common way is mixing the lemon juice with water and having it either on empty stomach or in warm water. Basically, lemon water is nothing but lemon juice mixed with warm water which helps in losing weight or mixing lemon juice with plain water with other ingredients of your choice which makes it a refreshing drink. Here are some benefits you can reap from lemon water:

Hydration:

Women are supposed to have at least 3-4 liters of water every day. But some don’t like the taste of water on its own. By adding lemon juice to water helps in building up the flavor of water and can help to consume more water.

Good source of vitamin C:

Lemon is a good source of vitamin C which helps in protecting cells from damaging free radicals. Vitamin C is also beneficial during the common cold. Vitamin C also helps in reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, stroke and low blood pressure.

When it comes to weight loss, having warm lemon water in the morning on an empty stomach is the first thing that comes into our mind. Lemon water is a great addition to your morning routine which helps in boosting your metabolism. Having at least 4-5 cups of lemon water in a day gives a feeling of freshness, feeling of fullness which helps you to avoid munching on unnecessary snacks. Chilling lemon water and having it throughout the day may boost your metabolism even more which will help you reduce weight faster.

This one is the best use of lemon water. The citric acid present in the lemon helps in preventing kidney stones. The citrate in lemons makes the urine less acidic and may even break up small stones. Drinking lemon water not only gets you to citrate for less acidic urine but also the water you need to flush out the stones.
