Who doesn’t want glowing skin? Everyone wants a naturally glowing skin. People usually forget that they can achieve it and often end up spending all the money in high-end topical treatments which works only on the surface of the skin and not from within. Beauty lies inside which reflects outside on your skin. Working on skin internally and externally goes hand in hand. To achieve naturally glowing skin one should work upon their diet, good eating habits, follow a good lifestyle, exercise regularly and stay well hydrated to look and feel beautiful from within. And, to maintain this naturally beautiful and glowing skin, one should follow it up with the suitable topical treatments and skincare regimen.

To glow internally:
  •           Exercise regularly because blood circulation has direct contact with your skin’s health. Practicing yoga is the best form of exercise you can do for better and healthy glowing skin. The inhale and exhale pattern which is followed in yoga flushes out toxins from your body, leading to glowing skin. The different asana in yoga helps increase blood circulation towards your face helping to nourish your skin and produce more collagen production.
  •         Add Omega 3 fatty acids which are found in fish and walnuts which is very good for the skin. Have fruits which are high in Vitamin C. This will help in healing up the pimples fast. So, eating a few servings of citrus fruits and spinach will give you smooth skin.
  •         Keep your skin well hydrated by having at least 3-4 liters of water every day.  Have a lot of green leafy vegetables in your diet. Add fruits like papaya, watermelons, peaches which are naturally hydrating and will give your skin a good glow.
  •        Follow a balanced diet with sufficient proteins, vitamins, fruits, and leafy vegetables should be eaten in the right quantity and at the right time.
  •        Meditation is another way to have radiant skin. The more you meditate, the more you will radiate. 
  •        Keeping your mind calm and peaceful is also very effective and works wonders in the long run. If you are unhappy, frustrated, sad, your face simply cannot look great. So make sure you are at peace and happy, for this meditation plays an important role. Meditation is not a luxury any more it has become a necessity in life.
  •      Keep your sugar and salt consumption levels in control. Try to consume less sugar on a daily basis and cut down on salt. Eating too much salt can make your face look bloated.
To glow externally:
  •           Always make sure that you remove your make up before going to bed. Skin needs to breathe overnight and makeup prevents skin from doing so leading to clogged pores, pimples and blackheads.
  •      Always remove your makeup with micellar water or a good oil-water based makeup remover. If you don’t have a makeup remover simply use baby oil or olive oil which will serve the purpose.
  •      Do not forget to exfoliate your skin at least once or twice a week. Exfoliation is very important to remove the dead skin layer resulting in radiant skin. You should skin skincare before and after your workout sessions. Just apply toner to shrink pores and exfoliate after. Use a toner that is alcohol-free to shrink pores. Skipping this will lead to open pores and blackheads. A toner gets your skins PH balance to a level, cleans up the remaining residue on the skin, closes pores and gets your skin ready for the next step i.e. to moisturize. 
  •       Use a moisturizer that is suitable for your skin type. Before this, you should know your skin type well. Whether it’s oily, dry or combination type. And use a moisturizer accordingly. 
  •       Never miss on SPF. Apply sunscreen at least 15-20 minutes before moving out of the house. A sunscreen of at least SPF 30 should be used to block both UVA and UVB rays. Make sure the packaging says that the product is “non-comedogenic” and “non-acnegenic” to avoid clogged pores. 
  •      To combat acne and pimples use chemical-based cleansers like salicylic acid 2% followed up with an alcohol-free toner and appropriate moisturizer
  •      Having green tea or applying green tea past with honey on your face works wonders for your facial skin as it shrinks pores and gives an instant glow.
